FamilySearch Discontinuing Microfilm Distribution Services

In case you haven’t already heard, FamilySearch will discontinue its microfilm distribution services on September 1, 2017.  According to the FamilySearch website, the last day to order microfilm is August 31, 2017.  If you would like more information, click here.  Apparently, this is happening because the advances in technology are making microfilm obsolete.  Many digital images are available online that make Geneology research easier than in the past.

If you need any of these records, get on the ball and order them so you don’t miss out.  The deadline is only a few months away.
