Northeast Alabama Genealogical Society announces the 25th
Ancestor Swap Meet April 20th, 2024, at the Gadsden Downtown Civic Center, 623 Broad Street, Gadsden, AL 35901. This is our annual fundraiser for Howard Gardner Nichols Memorial Library proudly owned and operated by NEAGS.
We are happy to announce that Julia A. Anderson, MA, AG(r), AGL(tm) with FamilySearch
will be our speaker.
Julia A. Anderson has a master’s degree in history with an emphasis in post-secondary
education and is an Accredited Genealogist(r) and Accredited Genealogist Lecturer(tm)
with a credential in the United States Gulf South region. She is a United States and
Canada Research Specialist at the FamilySearch Library in Salt Lake City and teaches
research and accreditation classes for Salt Lake Community College in their Genealogy
Certificate program. She is also the owner and managing member of Anderson
Genealogical Research, LLC. Julia has presented lectures for the FamilySearch Library,
National Genealogical Society, RootsTech, Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy, Utah
Genealogical Association, Genealogical Forum of Oregon, Afro-American Historical and
Genealogical Society, Texas State Genealogical Society, and Alabama Genealogical
Society, among others. She currently serves as the Summit of Excellence Conference
Chair for the Utah Genealogical Association. She and her husband, Scott, reside in Orem,
Utah and are the parents of nine children and grandparents of seven.
