Welcome to the official website of The Echota Cherokee Tribe of Alabama. In 1984 The Davis – Strong Act was passed by the House and the Senate. This Bill created the Alabama Indian Affairs Commission and gave The Echota Cherokee Tribe of Alabama State Recognition. We are one of 9 state recognized tribes in the great state of Alabama. We are home.
