Our September Monthly Meeting will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Nichols Memorial Library located at the corner of Dwight and Cabot Avenues. The program will be presented by Danny and Reba Skillman. Mr. Sillman is the 1st Vice Chief of the Cherokee tribe of Northeast Alabama. He will speak on the “Cherokee History Past and Present, What Lead Up to the Trail of Tears and the Cherokees That Are Still Here.” A special presentation will be presented by Mrs. Reba Skillman who will sing in the Cherokee language. Anyone interested is invited to attend. Finger foods will be served after the meeting.
